it looks unfinished.

you've got a ton of detail and a lot of stuff going on so props for that. the sky doesn't really match the foreground, the mountains look kinda flat, the horses and clothing need some texture. this could be mind blowing-ly amazing but it stopped at really cool. i'd work on it some more and sell prints.

VillainousTurtleSLC responds:

Yeah I really am still trying to figure out painting. And I invested a ton of time on this and each tip helps make it better so I really appreciate your criticism. I can't believe it's been featured!

I am paying attention to everyone's advice and will try and incorporate them. Hopefully without over doing it and ruining what was already good.

i'm so glad you finished this

i love you. i love this. and i love eye veins

UnderARock responds:

thanks buddy

i didn't like the movie

prolly tarentino's second worst. however, this is a pretty decent picture. i think theres enough grain to balance picture quality and style. its just the black outlines, and the hands. hands are very hard to draw no doubt. i'd say you should move away from black lines altogether or find a way to tone them done. also your kurt russel looks like tommy lee jones

Wiiman86 responds:

yeah...Kurt was a last minute add-in...I probably should have just left him out but I tried to keep a nice flow goin with the picture. haha but yeah he DOES look a lot like Tommy. and yeah, my hands blow ha, I'm workin on it though. Thanks for the input dude!

pretty good

it seems unfinished. i'd say strengthen the line work and the shading it kinda just seems scribbled on. try different brushes for the smoke. also a pipe wouldn't have that much smoke coming out. while working on the shading try to establish a stronger difference in the fabric and the metal on him. its right in some spots but his right arm seems off.
good start!

Van-pl responds:

I wouldn't post unfinished drawing.

Well, the style was meant to be that way, I'm against super-clean and tidy drawings, beacuse they lack some substance.

Too bad you didn't seem to find any artistic value, concentrating on tips how you would draw that.

And hey! Thanks for cheering me up for my start! It's been like 4-5 years since I started taking drawing seriously.

haha wow!

i'm always impressed with colored pencil of any kind.
it really does look incredible.
but nit picking...wouldn't the guitar itself be glossier?
anyway its killer, especially the flower print and the shine on the metal

Bit-Master responds:

It would be glossier if it wasn't 30+ years old. =P

Nonetheless

who would you be

if you didn't flood this place with animalheaded art?
ryan miller? i guess

SuperSexyActionFurry responds:

you should get him to post his ssaf

hahaha

I remember seeing this on TBA. i really like it.
loved psychonauts and i think you nailed Fred. i'd say the one things that is off is the facial features. i'm sure this is old and you've gotten better, just saying.

Emanhattan responds:
